laminating decals

I have a versacamm sp300 my customer has ask me to print decals with lamination . My customer whats a thick lamination. As anybody laminated with a thicker lamination had perform contour cuting.I'm using a Oracal
3164G inkjet material.

I used 3164 and the GMI calendered gloss overlam which is really thick. It was difficult to cut and sort of humped up around the platen of the cutter sometimes catching on the blade even when it was up.

if this is for a moto cross application use Convex vinyl it is 12 mil thick but expensive

you have to slow the cutting down or it won't cut through

I use several different lam's everyday...(one of the best features of the BS)
From Oracal 290 to Convex 12mil.

My 300V cuts it with no issues.
However, you must have the correct settings.

If it's MX based decals, you will also need a different vinyl.
