Merry Christmas all, we are looking to purchase a new laminator currently using a RS 1650C thinking on a Ezy Taper or moving up in the world to a Seal (yes we know those two are not even in the same league) but wondering what is the rest of the world using. Does anyone have the new Ezy Taper. Looking for pros and cons of all makes and models

I saw an Ezy Taper mounting to substrate demo at the show in Vegas in April and I was very impressed. Unfortunately I didn't ask for a laminating demo. I am going to make laminator purchase in the next couple of months and am seriously considering the Ezy Taper. I'm having a hard time with the price though. For one of those I could buy two of the US Tech 54" and use one for mounting and one for laminating and still have a couple thousand in my pocket. I'd be vey curious to know what you choose.

Ezy Taper are suppose to get back to us with someone in our area so that we can see it in action and talk to the user direct, so far no news. But will let you know

We have a RS 1651 and for over 3 years it's been a very versitle machine. We use it for Thermal melt hot laminate as well as Pressure cold. I would buy another it's a good value machine.

Seal 54EL. Best 5 grand I've spent to date! If you step up and invest in quality equipment after using it you'll never think about the cost again.

That ez taper thing looks like it would be a great tool, but that price seem a little high for it being a manual running machine.

I had my doubts about the unit when we purchased one. But it has done a great job and no issues after a few rolls have went through the machine.

When it was delivered I had to adjust the roller level, but it was very easy to fix. Since then we have laminated 8'-12' prints with no issues. I love the machine and the price is outstanding!

Have you ever put corplast, alupanel or anything thicker that a print through it?

No... I normally just have UV prints for those products.

This is a knock-off from the Seal Pro Series... I think it is a great laminator and the price compared to the Seal 18k range is pretty damn sweet.

That ez taper looks like a piece of junk. Don't know what the price is but it looks to fit into the diage category. If you like ruining jobs at the laminate stage looks like it would work for that.

No brakes for tension for the laminate or the vinyl substrate.

No idler rollers for webbing around around the pinch roller for keeping the laminate and vinyl substrate flat.

Check out the new GFPs with swing-arm loading, heat assist & take-up reels, they're the winner in my opinion, and the price is just right.
