When I was looking at the Dell Vostro the sales rep did say that the a 17in. with XP option may be available in the early part of the new year.

Check this out. I have last years model. For the money you can not beat it. I have had -0- issues with it. You can buy this and XP to install on it and still save money.

I have over 5 years experiance with computer repair, so tech support was not an issue for me. You might want to check that aspect out.
