Discussion Large dampers for SP540V?

Has anyone here replaced their small dampers on an SP540 with large dampers?
I remember having a tech out many years ago and he mentioned he can change the small dampers to the large ones. The only added benefit is the ink at hand. The metal plate fixed above the dampers will obviously be removed.

Has anyone here done this? if so, what have you found to be of benefit or disadvantage?

Put them in years ago because it what was in stock. Kept using them from that point on. They did have bigger filter screens but can't say I noticed any performance advantage.
