Large format scanners?

Place I used to work had a 36" xerox blueprint scanner. Anyone know an inexpensive solution for occasional (very occasional) large scans, which I'd really rather not involve a 50 mile drive in...

Not Even Close.

Thinking of opening a storefront, and one of the gripes of contractors in the area is that they have to drive about 25 miles, each way, to get the big stuff copied.

oce, but if you want color expect to pay $$$$.
most contractors want it for to next to nothing, and when the engineering firm I work at was looking at a copy print 5+/ min.
is was around 60K
you can get a B&W for around 6k scanner only
We tossed our blue line machine in the trash last year.
