Laser Measurer

Newbie question here....

I have a wall that's probably 50 ft in the air, it's inside of a mall and I'm wondering how the hell can I measure it without renting a lift.
A ladder won't work either. Management said other companies use a laser.

Is this accurate enough for ****s sake? IF so which laser do you recommend and does it come on a tripod?

Just got off the phone with them they said 95%-98% accuracy. For $500 that's garbage.
Not a good investment.

indeed, I would thought it would be more precise. So it's only good for quotes and global survey.
