Latex Printable Non-Curl Scrimless Banner for Retractables?

Putting together a few retractable banner stands with graphics and require a non-curl material.

I was looking as FDC 7606 but their product specs don't support it's compatible with latex.

Has anyone tried printing on it, or have a suggestion for another material?

POS PRO 400 for a bannerstand is pretty thick, the POS PRO 200 is probably a better solution. BUT if your going to use POS PRO then I strongly recommend looking at my materials first, POS PRO was a copy cat of my original material back in the day. My version comes up to 60" also and the price point is very attractive.

For your original question, I would think that FDC material would work similar to the Ultraflexx Scrimless and that is also NOT recommended in Latex.

The opti-solve material is great, but over priced in my opinion.

My options include:

9 Mil Grey Back Textured Satin 36"x100' $108 (Very Low Edge Curl)
8 Mil Grey Back Polypro Satin 36"x100' $90 (Will get some edge curl)
11 Mil Grey Back 100% Polyester 36"x75' $94.50 (Best solution in my arsenal for non edge curl)

All these come in 60" also.

It really depends on which type of product you want to provide. The PosPro medias are great in this application, and no-curl banner medias work well here too. Herculite Bantex makes several products for this application which are Certified for use with HP Latex machines:

You could also use a polyester fabric for this application, such as Aberdeen 8100.

I used to use the Bantex but lately had issues with it....I had to keep dropping the heat because I would get those platen marks in darker colors, and got to where I couldn't get it low enough without the ink not curing. So switched back to PosPro equivalent (not even sure what brand it is....may be Magic). We get ours from AmCad in Dallas.

That (scalloped roller marks) sounds like plasticizers migrating to the print surface. All PVC-based banner medias will eventually do this, depending on their age. Heat will also accelerate the process.

I have tried several materials that are sold as "non-curl retractable banner material"
and haven't liked any, they either look washed out when printed, scratch easy, or
curl.....with the exception of Ferrari Decolit 251 9.5 oz , the stuff is expensive and
I'm not sure the best place to buy it from (we used it at a place I used to work) but this stuff prints unbelievably beautifully,
cuts to size cleanly, and stays curl free.
