Laying Panel Vinyl on a 28' Box Truck

Good Afternoon:

We are working on a fleet of box trucks and the hardware on the doors are giving us issues. How do you recommend we deal with the hardware? Do we remove the doors? Seam the vinyl behind the hardware?

Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

pictures would help.

if you can remove the hardware that will make it easier otherwise you will be making lots of cutting to get it behind the door hardware

There is no clear cut answer when you have a fleet of vehicles to do and you will need to manage quality vs. speed. You will get the best quality with removal and if they aren't old trailers the hardware should come off easily. If you have a lot of trailers better plan on at least one bolt that won't come out.

Yes, slit it and have a seam behind the poles. It is a box truck not a show car. It is the overall finished product that they are going for. People aren't going to walk up to it and admire it, they are going to see it drive by them at 35 mph.
