LED Sign Disposal

    I have a customer that is asking what to do with the large LED sign she is removing from her building. The dump will not take it because of the LED and the EPA says it will be 500 bucks for them to take it. Any suggestions?

    Disassemble to its base components and take it to the local RECYCLING Center

    remove LED and take to authorized E-waste facility, disassemble and recycle metal / components

    Tell your customer it will cost $500 plus your time and costs.

    I grew up in a house with led paint and I turned out fine, I cant stand the epa.
