Are there any small flatbed UV machines that compete with the LEF12 -or- LEF20? We're thinking about one of these machines, but don't want to overlook any other promising options....similar price point or less? Is the print quality just as good? Durability of prints?

There's a lot of competitors out there. It depends on what you're going to be doing. Roland even has a new LEF-300. The major issue on the Roland LEF is the ink usage when cleaning. You need to have all your printing ready to print for the day. If you wait more than ten minutes between print jobs the printer goes through a cleaning cycle. You can watch your white and gloss flow into the waste tank. We have a LEF-20 and love it.
PM me if you have questions about the Roland LEF

Thanks for the call today David! We decided on LEF20 but want to make sure that's the top of the line option before the $5000 rebate runs out on June 30th.

Brother jet, mimaki, mutoh, go, inkcups? Who has info and can tell me about these?

I buy a mutoh vj-426uf last month, i am very happy with the results, before buy the machine i see all the other competitors.

ujf 3042 slow, bad software, poor quality, small table, the pro was the techinical assistance near my city

roland lef 20 slow, 20% more expensive, inks more expensive too, pros was table size and technical service near the city

any machine epson adapted are discarted because have past issues with them

Mutoh was more cheaper, more cheaper consumables and ink, faster, perfect quality, no need of rip (you print direct windows driver and it works very fine, but if you wanna a rip just buy one they works too)

sorry for the poor englosh i am from brazil.

We went with the Mimaki UJF-6042 and have loved it. We print a lot of smaller signs and items so the table size was perfect. Adhesion was one of our biggest concerns and this printer sticks to everything. Other Printers you listed:

Ink Cups Now: their printers look pretty nice we did some limited testing but you are going to spend 20% more than the Mimaki.
