Let's say you bought a brand new printer and...

Great news! I'm glad HP is doing the right thing with out much of a fight.

Honestly, there was no fight at all. It just had to go through the right people. From the first tech when we advised them what happened, there really wasn't ever an offer to send parts. It seemed all the way up the ladder that replacing the machine was always their plan.

The level 3 tech said "One of our brand new machines should never... Scratch that. NONE of our machines should ever do that."


It sucks being down. Especially with a new machine. But, I understand s&%t happens. To this point, they have been good about it. I don't have any complaints.

Just an update.

Yes. This was an HP. An L360 to be exact.

A lot of us here are business owners. We all understand that sometimes things happen. They just do. What tells a lot about a company is not when things are perfect, but when things go wrong.

In this case, I can say I am 100% pleased with HP, and my distributor Toryon. I didn't have to fight. I didn't have to 'lawyer up'. The problem was explained and a new printer was shipped, delivered, and set up as soon as physically possible.

Both companies get, and deserve, my kudos for taking care of business!

so true that you find out more about a company when things go wrong than when they go right. glad they turned out to be an outstanding company and really respect you for not saying who or what until is was resolved.

I'm glad it worked out in the end... I stand by Jake, he is an awesome rep which is why we followed him to toryon. I also stand by our HPs, we've had mutohs in the past that were utter nightmares and that company didn't understand support. I could literally drive those machines to mutohs headquarters in 20mins and I'd still wait a week plus for support.

In any case I'm glad things are fixed and your back to printing money!
