Need Help Locators on backlit letters

Hi everyone, looking for suggestions please.
Have made 50mm built up stainless letters, with LEDs inside and opal perspex on reverse to create halo effect. Only issue now is putting the stand off locators in place.
Have done this on a few occasions and try to put them in positions where the LEDs won't be affected, but these letters are quite narrow and am worried that the locators will block some of the light and thus getting a dark area around the letter. Any helpfull tips or tricks or locators to be used?
Thanks

Not sure what a "locator" is. But you can use a thinner thread all such as 3/16" and for the stand off, use a 1/4" nylon, plastic or aluminum round tube as the stand off. Option B is to put a nut again the wall and a nut against the letter to avoid using a stand off. But either way, thin letters your going to see it no matter what.
