Logo critique and suggestions for font

I'm designing a CD cover for a guy who writes Christian music. During the process, he asked for a logo for his music production company and sent me a couple of sketches. I did the below logo based on those and sent it to him for review. He tells me he loves it but the font needs to be edgier because it's Christian ROCK. I've listened to his songs and I would've never labeled it as "rock" but that's what he wants.

I've been through 100s of fonts and I'm having a terrible time finding something "edgy" that also matches the style of the logo. Any suggestions?

In my opinion, when a client says the want "rock", they are asking for "grunge". Try Bleeding Cowboys (shoot me), Eroxian BT, FarCry Extended, etc.

As far as the logo itself, Eh.....

The "people" concept is pretty overdone, IMO. It's constructed ok - I just don't care for the elements.

I agree that rock usually means grunge to the average joe, but I don't think that's what this guy has in mind. I've listened to his music. Also, grunge doesn't match the graphic so that's where I'm stuck - finding a font that is "edgy" and matches the font.

Try Umbra. If it was good enough for Van Halen style of rock then it's gotta be good enough for christian rock. Plus it matches the black and white people.

I'm not trying to design anything. I saw what was posted, opened Font Book and picked ones it thought might work as a starting point. Have a nice day.

Which is essentially Umbra. Right? Or is it another font?

Kinda the same - same shadow effect but it's called Griffon Shadow.
