Logo Thoughts

All the talk about new logos has brought us to upgrade ours so here is the first draft. Tell me what you think.
Our Name is Vinyl And Crafts 5 years ago we started with the name because we also did wood crafts and wood signs, we also thought and still do to this day that the sign business is a craft and should be thought of it that way.
So what do you think??

it's a good start, but it's all over the place. leaning left, right, perpendicular...

and not too crazy about the circle "and" laying over the vc.

I see your point about the left / right didnt really think about that.

Just a thought, you may want to get rid of the circle around the "&". Instead put a thick white outline around it. Possibly rotate the "&" about 15 degrees to the left. Then work on the font for "signs", it is not a good choice. Maybe a script font.

V & C could mean "Victor and Charles" - says nothing about vinyl and crafts. The lay man would have no idea what you are talking about.

IMHO - back to the drawing board - particularly if you are into the "craft" side of the sign game.

Oh... and btw.... if you are "rebranding" - think about what you do and how well you do it... in the market that you want to target.

Let the name reflect that.

If you are prepared to rebrand - look forward to that rebranding lasting another 8 - 10 years and being instantly recognizable.

Allow the branding to maximise what you do and how you want to be percieved in th eopen marketplace.

Lots of angles. VC is overpowering signs.
I am sooo sick of everyone using the 70s porno font you have in signs.
I think V&C should be stacked on top of SIGNS and each character separate not the ampersand superimposed on the V and C.
I think you really need to go back to the drawing board on this one, in all honesty.
It's very generic looking and if you are representing yourselves as Image Professionals, it's not as convincing as it should be.
Not to sound mean.
Have some fun with it.
With your color choice and the name I think of retro 40s patriotic, which could be a cool direction if it appeals to you.

Thanks Jill I just thought the sign font flowed with the VC. The colors is how we feel we put a flag on alot of things we do and just have used the red, white, blue since the start so we kindy wanted to stay there but its all up right at the moment even a name change but hate to do that for what all it would create in paper work... My wife really wants the name to still be somewere in the logo.
