I see HP plotters cheap in my area. There's a C1633B Design Jet Plotter near me for only $100. See 3-4 color models as well. Could go up to $3-400 for a toy. I was just kind of wondering if they are any good for anything in this business anymore? Printing off a few interior banners on regular paper? They wouldn't print vinyl would they? Yes, I know they are the "daisy wheel printer" to the sign industry compared to a laser printer today, but I was wondering what could I honestly expect out of something like that? What kind of marketable product would a POS like that produce? I have experience repairing copy machines, etc. so something like this would be interesting. Has anyone heard of converting them into woodworking router machines?
