Looking for a budget vinyl plotter that cuts vehicle wrap vinyl -GCC Expert 24 Cutter

Hi, I'm a student and on the side I sell/install vehicle wraps. I don't work with any of the printed stuff, just basic matte, gloss and carbon wraps. I often get a lot of requests for decals and custom wording/designs. I was wondering if plotters would be able to cut through the same vehicle vinyl wrap? The reason why is because I keep a lot of this stuff in stock, so I have it readily available, if I don't have to go out and buy special vinyl just for the plotter it saves me a lot of time and a bit of money. The vinyl I work with is anywhere from 0.1mm to 0.2mm and they all have are release channels on the back.

I'm planning on purchasing the GCC Expert 24 Cutter, I've checked out some videos on YouTube and it seems to be easy to work with. Since it only has a max width of 2ft I would have to cut my vinyl but that's not a problem for me.

If anyone could help me out with these questions I would be very happy! and if there are any things I should consider please let me know!

The GCC will work fine for that vinyl. I have a GCC Jaguar IV and it tracks / cuts very well. If you can afford it i would get the new RX series as it has a lot more features.

Thanks for the input. I will definitely check out the RX series, if the price difference is worth it I may go with it, although I'm really just looking for something on budget.

Would you guys happen to know where I can buy transfer paper by the roll? I would need 2' rolls.

Any graphic media supplier should carry it: Advantage Sign Supply, Fellers, Montroy, N.Glantz, Grimco, etc

My only advice is bigger is better. You will find that a 24" cutter is very limited very quick. I would try to find one that is over 50". Also try and get one that has a servo motor. Even If you find one that is 10 years old, you'll like it better than a brand new one with a stepper motor.

I was actually planning on purchasing a used one, but many people have said its a risky move because parts could be already worn out and it could be costly. I've done some research, I know its on the smaller size but I think this will meet my needs for now, I don't mind purchasing a bigger, better one down the road if business really starts to pick up. I own one of this Expert 24 but I have the LX version and use it for my Tshirt heat transfer business. For the last 3 months I owned it serves very well and not having any issues. Although this is my first cutter.

The size of 24" is just perfect for my main purpose which is for tshirts. So it depends on your purpose an current sheets that you are working with. If you mostly use sheets greater than 24inch then definitely look for something wider.

Based on my research when I was shopping, Roland is the most known and dependable because servo it uses motor.
