They work fine for laminating too as long as you get the pressure equal on both sides. We used to use a cheap chinese laminator from Ebay for mounting and keep the better laminator in the office where it is cleaner.

We've been looking at those electric ones off and on just for laying vinyl to sheet stock, don't like using our good laminator for that either. Found some 63 inch ones for around a grand-ish, think it's time to pull the trigger. We do quite a bit of flex face too, should be able to use it for that for up to 60" faces if we get the 63". I gotta stop trolling posts, every time I do we end up buying something :doh:
