We have a banner frame on the side of our building that measures over 9 feet tall and about 30 feet long. We could have this banner produced through our regular vendors, but since the banner is over 9 feet long, it would have to be freighted to us. I'm figuring it would be much easier and economical to find a wholesale trade printer local to us that can produce this giant 13 oz. banner so that we can pick it up ourselves and avoid freight costs. We have the option of Indy Imaging in Indianapolis, but I'd rather find a place closer to us, if possible. We are located in Central Illinois about 2 hours out of Chicago. Does anyone here know of a reliable trade printer in or near Chicago that can help us out?

FWIW...

We routinely do 15x30 banners for a local organization and we send them to Signs365 who skids them and ships them freight for their usual flat $10.00 shipping. They don't roll these banners - they fold them and put them flat on a skid to ship. Have done over a dozen this year and never a problem....

Wow, Sean. I'm really surprised they freight them for $10.00. They are our usual vendor so rather than making assumptions I guess I should have asked them about it first. I'm chatting with them as we speak. Thank you for the head's up. Hopefully we can get the same kind of deal.

Yeah, I was surprised too - and I didn't have to ask, you just click on the usual $10.00 shipping charge and that is all they charge...? Again, we've done a bunch of these big ones and cost never varies unless we do more than 1,000 s.f. at a time, and then they give us a better break per s.f.
