I've run into this too many times now without a source. I'm looking for a supplier that makes the aluminum tubing frames used for signs in a lot of industrial parks. It's normally something like a 2' x 6' frame made from aluminum rectangular tubing. Made to be mounted to the building and then have an insert screwed into the opening.
I've seen a ton of them painted the classic brown.
I've had them made by machine shops locally, but having someone make one that's a job shop has to be more expensive than getting these from someone that makes them for a living.
They aren't light boxes, but look like the frame of a light box might look. Just plain old aluminum tubing, welded up into a nice rectangle frame, fastened to the building with a panel on the inside of it (it usually has some tabs inside the opening for the panel to get mounted to).
Any supplier suggestions? I've seen tons and tons of the signs, but in all my travels, I've never seen anyone that offers them for sale.
