For years, we've had a customer who orders multiples of small lexans, ranging from about 2" x 10" to about 6" x 6". We've always printed them on the Gerber Edge because that's all we had. What a pain in the arse they are! They have 4 - 7 spot colors and a 4-color process image, plus some things need a white primer and then a white backing on the whole thing.
Now that we have the GS6000, there has to be a better way! So I'm looking for a lexan-type material that we can use in the Epson. The reason they like the lexan is the stiffness of it.
I'm not sure how important the lexan texture is, but these things are attached to ATMs so no one actually touches them. They are attached with d/s tape, which is also another PITA about the job.
Sooo, a material that's stiff like lexan with an adhesive back would be awesome. We also need it to be white since we can't print white with the Epson.
Any suggestions? Please!
