I always try to steer clients away from magnets. If they insist, I tell them that they need to remove and clean them and the surface weekly and when I give them over, I put detail wax on the back of the magnet and the vehicle and tell them that they should detail wax the magnet and vehicle before reapplying to the clean surface. Not that detail wax will do much, but it will assure that there is no micro sand or debris that will scratch the clear coat. Just remember that magnet is a clay product, which is essentially dirt.
