What margin of error / padding do you use for materials cost?
We're looking at doing a large (for us) job of 152 streetlight banners. 82 will be 35.5x21, 70 will be 60 x 30, double-sided so we're going to print each side separately.
I've calculated out the number of rolls of vinyl we'll need, based on how many banners we can fit in each roll, etc.
However, this, of course, assumes that we'll make no mistakes. Obviously I should pad this vinyl estimate to factor in reprints, mistakes, etc. The question is, how much? +20%, +30%?
