Greetings!

On our 'utility' signs, we usually place a small decal on the back and mark it with a date and a job number, for easy reference if the customer needs a re-order. However, we mark with a regular Sharpie, and it doesn't last very well. Is there an industrial long-life version out there? What should I be looking for?

Any recommendations appreciated!

What about using an embossable aluminum decal?
You could also try and put a little pre-cut piece of laminate over it after you write.
