Ok, i admit i kinda laughed when i saw it....

Yeah, that's what they said right up until it blew up in their face. They later tried to justify it as an "experiment in marketing" and tried to spin it as a call for action against the abuse of women. They eventually stripped off the wrap and sold the destroyed remains on ebay. They later set up a website selling other tailgate wraps and donating the proceeds to charity. Personally I think somebody just had a brain ****, it blew up more than anyone could have imagined, and they scrambled around to do whatever they needed to do to cover their butts.
