material bunching in pinch rollers

Hey everyone -

I'm printing on Ultraflex C220 6.7oz Polyester and I used to be able to tape it down to the take up roll and be okay and now I can't get enough pressure from the takeup real to not have this stuff bunch up and cause a carriage jam. I would have to physically stand there and really hold it taught for it to work.

Anyone have any solutions? I'm just jammed up from why it used to work and now doesn't.

What printer?? Can you turn down the vacuum on it?

I have the vacuum way up to keep the stuff from bunching... I suppose that's weighing it down?

the vacuum is in front of the pinch rollers, so it could very well be holding it back while you're pinch wheels continue to move it forward. Back it off and see how it runs.
