All good questions Gino.
How and Where: Historical district for a photo studio.
Two-sided.
It will be hung perpendicular to the building on an iron bracket.
Approximately 9' above the sidewalk and 15' from the first lane of traffic where the 25mph speed limit is merely a suggestion.
Historical district limits square footage, projection from building etc.. From what I was told it's close to the limit.

Double check the material with Historical District because here, they have to be dimensional signage.
I second that, or even .125 aluminum.

if it is going to be free hanging by the two holes, .125 is the better option to reduce the swinging in the wind

That would definitely make it light and I happen to have that in stock. Probably be a good idea to reinforce the holes for the hooks though.

Flat is okay as long as the allowed square footage isn't exceeded.

We'll probably put a cable stay in the lower corner. Did that on the last one. Keeps the movement in check and adds another safety.
Of course I had some street scum hang onto the last one I did until they ripped the ACM right off the mounts. Took less than a week.
Second one stayed up after I plated the mounts with flat bar.
