Hello everyone,
i've been having issues with mesh banner material, first time i called grimco they sent me a new roll but now i'm still having the same issue, can it be the material or is it a printer error? i lowered the heat thinking maybe it was cooking the release backer after printing but still have the same issue.
any advice much appreciate it.
Printer is an HP-700w

I do not know the HP 700, but I know that with the Latex 360 Series, the ink can glue the mesh together with the backing (through the holes).

If the problem is only there where is ink, then it is a known problem with Latex printers (I have worked for an HP dealer for several years).

I second the 'try a different mesh'... I have printed a few jobs on mesh on our 700w - never seen any issues like that. (and mesh was some of the first things I printed on the 700w - I used cheap media from Kelly/Spicers.... nothing special, just what they had on hand.)

Turn the heat completely off and run a small test piece and see what happens. Look at the backing and see if it appears to be on there correctly before you run it.

To me that looks like backer problems from the factory. Doesn't matter if they sent you a "new roll" it could be cut from the same batch. We record all our batch numbers when receiving material incase there are issues. Check your batch numbers of each roll, if they are the same then they were made from the same batch, hence still having issues with the backer releasing. I've received 3 separate rolls before that all had the same "batch" number.

My guess is that it's a backer problem. I'd second the suggestion to check it before you run it and see if the issue is a material issue. Otherwise, it could be that the ink is filling in the holes and sticking to the backer.
