matte clear wrap

anyone here ever take a matte clear overlam and wrap a gloss colored car to give it the matte look? reason i ask is customer has a blue vette and wants it the same color but matte. is this possible? guess i could wrap the hood and see what it looked like, just figured i'd check and see if anyone else has done this successfully. if so, what overlam or other matte clear did you use. thanks in advance.

it would be a PITA to apply dry and with no bubbles and if you do it wet, you'll have problems getting it to stay down on curves. I'd turn it down..

If they make a clear, matte with air channels, I would go for that.

Otherwise... I would turn it down too.

There's a transparent 180c by 3m with air release but it's gloss...

What about driving it into a sandblasting booth? That should matte it up.

laminate said clear 180c with said 3M matte lam. you'll get thickness for conformability, and a matte finish.

somebody else suggested stealth shield. also a paint protection film. they have a lexus IS-F that was factory gloss white they did with this and it is a perfect matte white.....hmmmmm.
