Max Metal or Alumalite???

Have to do a sign... it has posts surrounded by plywood on both sides. the sign is two sides, (on each side of the posts) and is 8' tall x 16' wide. they have 4x8 sheets plywood run vertically now (painted), and are in good shape. I'm thinking of going over them (horizontal) with either Alumalite or Max Metal and add edging to the entire sign. The signs will be cut vinyl.

Any ideas, pros-cons???

max metal will be fine since it already has a plywood backer

MaxMetal (really any Polymetal) is a greate substrate when rigidity is not a concern. It is relatively rigid in smaller pieces, however you won't want to use 4'x8' sheets without some type of backing or stringers.

Just not screw too hard as the surface aluminum is very thin, the screw or wash can easily bust the surface.
