Im making MX graphics ie motorcross decals for the off road motor bike,
I have and edge Gerber Printer 15 inch and am looking to Buy some vinyl.

Ive seen that Convex does a 6 mil white and clear vinyl, i know you print on the 6 mil then over laminate that with a 12 mil ProShield vinyl which makes 18 mil in total.

I know that some companys in the UK are printing these graphics but not over laminating them as you can use a glossmaker finishing foil to achive the glossie finish.
The vinyl is a touch thinner but the job looks and feels quite good.

Im going to ask some stupid questions as im STUPID or new to this.

Printing on 6 mil vinyl then appling a gloss foil is that to thin of a decal for a Motorcross graphic?

Can you buy a white 12 mil high bond vinyl that is compatable with the Gerber Edge 15 inch or similar ?

What is the best way to save on my expenditure to create a good Motorcross decal. Any information on this topic would be helpful.
Good morning, good afternoon and goodnight!

we have tried the frog skin clear protective foil and i was not happy with it
still got scratched when abused and didn't hold up the chemicals like they claim it does
just laminate it is better and just charge according or you can go cheaper and see how many time
your customers will come back for crap

we use convex 6mil vinyl and then a 12mil over lam.its the only combo we'd use.
anything less gets ripped to shreads in 1 race, dont waste your money on thin stuff trust me! :)
