Media Tearing And Jamming l25500

Was wondering if anyone has had this problem. Media loads fine. Printer starts to warm up media with heaters and cycles media back and forth. Then right before it gets to the right temp when the media gets soft. It looks like something on the right side(facing printer) tears the media and then it jams. media used is oracal 3551 and 3m ij 180 using unmodified profiles.

Thanks for any help

Run the media farther for the first print. Some material like vinyl and textiles you just need to waste a few feet to make sure that doesn't happen. Heat can make that first part get up and cause the jam. Once it gets rolling it won't be a problem.

media loading

I have a bunch of extra media fed out. It is not jamming from head strike. it is tearing from something in the hold down area behind the pinch rollers. it is only doing it right before it prints after cycling media up to temp
