I took out this cartridge when my sp300 said it was empty and just put it down on a pan looked at it today after a week or so and noticed the plastic was Melting. Can inks do this to the cartridge? Wasn’t like this when pulled from the machine. Just wondering.

Yes, the inks can do that. We had a machine develop a leak (blew a line off) and the ink melted the floor tiles.

Happened to our GS6000 once. The bag inside the ink box ruptured and melted through the box then a bunch of parts on the machine. It was a huge mess.

Ok good to know. It wasn’t any issue with my machine, just excess ink on the cartridge when I took it out and laid it down, there should be a warning ⚠️ label on it!
