Mimaki CJV30-130 Epson Head & Rank Input Error 30

Hi All,

I think I need to buy a new Mimaki CJV30-130 Printhead but before I do I just wanted to check if it is possible at all to use an Epson head in my machine?

I have already installed an epson head but the Rank number has 5 Lines of characters rather than the 4 from my original Mimaki head an when I come to put the Head ID in it errors saying ERROR 30 "Input Is unusual"

Is there a way around this?

The CJV30 will not accept an Epson head rank which is why you are getting error 30. Error 30 is a general error that basically means, "Does not compute". Some Epson heads did work in the machine a long time ago but Mimaki and Epson have made changes that make it very difficult to do now.
