Mimaki is doing to many wipes while printing

I don't know why but when I came in today after being off for a couple days and fired up the JV3 the prints are taking too long. So I noticed that the wiper was wiping way to much. But I can't figure out why it is wiping sometimes after 4 passes sometimes after 8 or 10 passes....Any help would be appreciated.

ALSO anyone know a good techinition in the NW Ohio area for routine maintenance? My guy recently moved away I had work on it now I'm stuck without someone

Are you printing via parallel port and not firewire?

If the printer does not get a fast enough flow of data from the computer by default it will wipe while waiting for more data.

I am printing in firewire but I have like 10 million things running on the computer as well including radio and maybe it is slowing it down. I will defintally try to print something now without everything. Thanks for the idea

Your printer computer should be used for that and that only....
