Mimaki JFX-200 Print Quality issue Beaded board

Partners of ours are having issues with their Mimaki JFX-200 UV flatbed printer. Some materials look fine but our beaded board prints do not. Also have issues with some yellow bands across the prints. I dont have a picture of the yellow bands but I do have pictures of the beaded board issues. We are thinking the heat on the uv lamps are set too high. I am not familiar with the machine-- thoughts or suggestions?

Feel free to have them call me 615-812-3001.
1st use straight edge to verify that surface is flat and not raised in the areas where the print is darker. Please email me pics of the yellow issue as well. Sweistsr@gmail.Com

As far as I know, I dont think its a warped board issue. They have printed on the material before but it was a few months ago. They had just replaced their new lamps recently---- im just thinking maybe the level was set higher before they replaced it and now that the lamps are new its too much heat for the beaded board panels. We will check when we go later today to try and help them.

I am not a printer but can you try printing in only 1 direction?

Usually banding comes from uneven cure (1 new and 1 old lamp) or non-firing nozzles. I would not think excess heat would build up on such a large surface.

I would suggest the uni-directional too. Are the panels coated with a varish/oil? might not be sitting right on the material, some is soaking and some isn't?

First off are you sure it is a JFX200 printer? The JFX200 has LED lamps that do not generate the heat like the Metal-Halide lamps do and the LED lamps are said to last 5,000-10,000 hours. What are they using for a RIP and do they have the MAPS2 feature turned on in the printer? MAPS2 helps banding from occurring. I hope this helps!
