Mimaki JV3 160SP white ink

White ink with jv3s is a bad scene. I would avoid it like the plague. I read one of your earlier posts. For your business model, thermal (like a Gerber Edge) might be a better route than inkjet. You also won't need to laminate.

We tried it in the JV3, but unless you will use white several times / week, forget it, as then almost all of the white ink will end up in the waste, and at twice the price of CMYK, send the job to someone else.

Also; it will probably not cover black good enough, only use I see for it is on clear vinyl.

We went back to using our old Summa Durachrome for white print, it can sit for months unplugged without clogging any nozzles.

I would suggest a Summa DC3 if it is wide enough. You can get them under 10k used.
