Need Help mimaki ujv55 Black ink is light and not black

Printing on clearview and the black is coming out brown and orange, looks like no cyan is making it through but all the print heads are working.

wondering if it is lack of pressure in lines....

it also prints black on white material but not so much on clearview.

have been getting banding on heavy areas as well goes away after normal clean but it comes back after awhile.

we have had it dialed in once or twice but it just goes back to a weak black.

any ideas would be helpful.

Boss is convinced the mimaki ujv55 is a lemon.

Nozzle checks are good, and printheads are good.

100% K in greyscale, print quality is good.

just not rich

i would set up a print swatch with only 100%k and 0%cmy
run a length of this and see if your black starts to fade. this will check to make sure there is proper ink flow. you can try it with the other colors also

Hello,a good rich black on digital printing is C 50 M 30 Y 30 K 100.Try it.

depends on your rip software. i would do it on the rip end so it doesnt crate values.
