monitor screen has gone white

I have a double flat screen monitor set up for my main work station. Friday I smelt some burning plastic or very hor plastic around my monitor and then one of my monitors just went white. Any one ever seen this happen? The screen is still working but u see nothing but white. Is this repairable reasonably or better to chuck it and buy a new one?

Naw it's best to replace it. Same thing happened to my brother-in-law.

Just a guess . . . but I'd say get yourself a NEW monitor !
