Does anyone know of a good monogram software that is either free to use or very cheap to purchase $50 or less.

That's what I would call monogram, but when someone says that, I immediately go to embroidery lettering software, which may or may not be what you are wanting. I think that's what the question was about. What production method.

For vinyl you need monogram fonts.
Search Harolds monogram fonts.
