He had colorful pictures and a lotta sexy looking girl pictures. The girl pictures I didn't like. I don't like that appraoch at all. Too much of a turn-off to most people, except for pervs

I agree, but he may have been referring to customers of the female persuasion.

Maybe 'perv' was too strong of a word, but I don't think you need to advertise sex to make a good sale. A good lookin' girl in nice attire or modeling some kinda product, but no reason they have to be in a thong or almost topless sweating their buns off to make up your mind for a business decision. In a man's cave or in a backroom will work, but in our shop we have ministers, nuns, religious people, wives, daughters and other female participants and I don't want them thinking that's all we have on our mind. In fact, I don't want to even give a hint of it. It doesn't belong in the work place. Do I find it good to look at ?? Sure, I'm not dead, but I don't approve of those kinda gimmicks. A strip joint or Frederick's underwear place, that's different, but then again, I don't go there. Not because of the advertisements, I just don't need to.

There are so many ways to get your point across without stooping to basically naked women to make a sale.

Nice substrate poster.

If you only buy pre-painted or vinyl covered MDO I can see the 2-5 year durability,
but a properly painted and edge sealed MDO sign will last much longer.
I take it your shop doesn't paint MDO?

We do route, edge seal, prime and paint MDO on occasion and I know MDO can look great for a solid ten years, but I don't like giving people unreasonable expectations so I say 2-5 years just to be on the safe side. I figure 2 years with no preparation and 5 years if it is edge sealed and painted properly. If they get 10-15 years out of it it's a bonus.
