Mosh it sounds like someone is specifically complaining about pole signs. I think it has something to do with the fact that they are doing some kind of height restrictions.
I think you need to get more information on WHY they are banning pole signs.
They would not allow Cracker Barrel to build here in this county because they had height restrictions. They went 7 miles down the road and built it.
We lost the revenues??? We have written the codes in a couple of counties further south of us and we had to be present at every meeting.

We have LED's banned downtown and I think it sucks. You just need to have standards that aren't annoying and that require moron's not getting their way. We did have issues with signs that contractors were leaving everywhere apparently. They made the rule that the signs HAD to be in your yard...not the "city's yard" meaning, between the sidewalk and your house, not between the sidewalk and the street.
