Mounting signs on an A Frame trailer

We have a client that we made a few 3'x6' and 2'x6' alupanel signs for. My understanding was that they were going on a building. Well he's ordering more of them and he told me that he ended up mounting them on his trailer and that 2 of them blew off while he was on the expressway..! He actually said "I never found one of them"! His trailer is a galvanized tubing A frame for hauling kayaks (see attached pics)

He wants me to mount the new ones and use one piece of angle aluminum to keep them from "wobbling" - he thinks that will keep them on the trailer. I think we need to run j channel on all four sides, or use flat inch wide extrusion and Lord adhesive along the vertical edges to spread the load; he mounted the other ones with a lag bolt and washer in each corner and the corners just ripped out.

What would y'all do to mount these?

It needs a full perimeter frame and at least one middle support, welded.
Then thru bolts w/washers & lexel.

how thick was the material you used.... it not very strong all by itself. as mentioned, put a frame all the way around it.
