Mozilla address bar not working

A couple of updates ago, there was a problem with the address bar showing too much info (or something like that)
So, I downloaded a patch called "oldbar".. that worked well.. it made it look like it used too.

Problem is now whenever I type a new address into it, it doesn't show that address the next time I open Mozilla. In other words, it doesn't keep a running history that I can point and click to the next time.

Anybody know a solution ?

Generally, when you are running Firefox (or any web browser for that matter) and have the previous browsing history recently erased, then those old links you searched to before will no longer be listed. What I imagine is happening is somehow, even if you aren't manually doing it, the recent browsing history is getting erased. There are some security programs or even domain user settings that can do this to you, so that is what I would check first.

Tools....Options....Privacy Tab... Location Bar

You have several choices to choose from.
