Multiple duplicate vector lines, how to make into one.

Some times I'll get a file like right now. Where while im cutting the vinyl there is multiple vector line of the same cut so it cuts the line numerous times takes longer , a tax on the blade and makes the cut sloppy. Not to mention annoying.

I can see in the ai layers they have a million of the same object. I dont feel like manually deleting the files. I have tried some pathfinder option but doesn't work for me. I assume there is a way to flatten all the layer into just one vector line?

I have resorted to selecting it on my cutting program and trying to get the most of the duplicates that way till takes some time.

Oh I never tried expand first . I just tried unite and all I got was the outline. I'll give that a try. Thanks

actually in fear of answering my own question. my cutting program has a "remove identical lines" I used that before but it didnt do what i wanted . I just seen the tolerance option, which I never played with it was set at 0 so maybe I'll up that a bit to say .5 cm or something maybe that would help me.

If there is any other ways please let me know..

Also is that sloppy illustrator skills or is that usually done ?
