Multiple eps files?

Greetings!

I've noticed when exporting an eps file from Coreldraw X3, I occassionally end up with several eps files e.g. I save as "test.eps", but end up with "test-1.eps", "test-2.eps" etc. This seems to happen if I export as a Postscript 3 file, but not as a level 1 or level 2.

Any idea why it does this or what it means? The file that caused me to ask is a very simple vector shape with no bitmaps, gradients, or effects.

If I re-import the "-1" file I get nothing, if I import the "-2" file, it appears to be correct and intact? Curious?

Here is what I've found... when exporting to eps, I tend to get multiple files (whether there are multiple pages or not) if I have previously exported to a bitmap of some kind (JPG, TIF)...

Simply exporting to eps again seems to fix the issue.

I've noticed this for several versions of CorelDraw up to X3 (don't know about 4 or 5).
