What are some of the best things a customer can say to you? My top three are:

1. We just opened a new warehouse.
2. We have a new logo and need to rebrand all our signs.
3. I'll install it myself.

I just had another one happen. The customer asked if we give discounts for cash payments. I said no, that the prices are what they are. She paid cash anyway.

"I don't care what you do. Just make it look good. You're the professional"
"We really like the logo you did for ____. Can you do one for us?"
"Instead of a deposit, I'll just pay for the whole thing now."
Those are the ones I like to hear.

Client in question has a very slow payment history, 90 to 180 days usually.

Needed truck lettering.
And the cop who pulled him over for not having truck lettering (on all three trucks)
referred him to me!
He actually told the guy to go see me.
One of our local cops.
I love it.

customer: dont care just get it done
Me: it wont be good, its like throwing money away
Customer: well then you can re-do it to the summer
Me: thats alot of work to get it of the windows
customer: well change the windows then. just get it done tomorrow and change the windows to the summer. Just make it happen goddammit.

thats the wierdest customer ive talked too ..
