Mutoh Falcon Jr e070 error

We just replaced the heads, capping station and the lines on our Mutoh Falcon Jr. When we went to turn it on it came up with an e070 yencoder error. We checked the book to see what it said but it didn't really say much. Has anyone else had this happen before. We really appreciate any help. Thank you!

Thank you! We will check out that thread for sure. When we bring it to the middle it moves about an inch and then the error comes up.

OK if it only moves in the middle a little it has nothing to do with the right hand side of the machine like capping and maintenance station.
When you replaced the head could it be that you loosened up one screw thath holds the carriage to the metal band?
Check if the height lever is moved (left side of the head) if the head really moves up and down.
Also you can temporary release some tension on the steel band on the left side of the machine and see what happens. Left cover need to be removed.

We went ahead and tried all that but havent had any luck so far. We cleaned the sensor on the top of the head that a mutoh told us to check when we called. Now when we start the printer with the head in the middle it moves to the right about three inches. The only thing weve done was tighten the metal strip a little more.

We just got that error figured out. Somehow we didnt have the sensor on the strip so we got that on and it went away. Now our problem is when we turn it on the E074 error comes up.
