Mutoh Falcon, Missing Head

This printer has been printing like a dream all weak. My last print was last night. However, tonight, I get ready to do another print, and the nozzle check shows the whole left head missing. How can this be? I've tried several cleanings and I can't seem to get black, cyan and light magenta to come back! I've even tried sucking ink through the nozzles. That doesn't seem to help this time.

Any ideas?

if the entire head is missing ENTIRE than its not the head. check your connection to the mainboard.

its not a head issue its an electronic issue.

just like a gas engine, gas and/or spark. your missing spark.

Thanks!

So, I reconnected or snugged everything on the board in the attached image. And now I'm getting a solid blue line for my nozzle check :)

Anything else I should check? Also, how do I make it stop printing a solid blue line as my nozzle check?

Thanks!

Andy

Here is the nozzle check from this morning. Just dumping ink, primarily LC, with a little bit of Magenta and squares of Yellow.

This is after I tried re-attaching the cables again.

Any ideas?

I found the main board. I even found the fuses. However, I know I must have blown something else up when I removed the cable while the machine was on last night, causing it to dump only LC during the nozzle check.

Anyone??

Ok folks, here is what I got. These 2 things in the background with the nuts on them, I saw somewhere on the forum, but I don't remember where. So I thought I would get a reading on them as well. The left one doesn't read, so maybe that is the one that I blew up when I removed that cable?

Ill sell you mine and it works. Then use yours for parts

Is yours a 60"? I'd be interested in a 60". An electrical engineer friend of mine helped me fix the fuse yesterday, and he thinks he tracked down the chips that I blew up when I removed the cables while it was on. I ordered the chips and they'll be here this morning. I hope it works!

Shoot me a PM with what you are asking for yours : )

We replaced some chips on the head board, sounds like we still have damage to the main board though. My electrical engineer friend is going to take a look at it. However, if it comes down to it, is there a place that sells motherboards for the Mutoh Falcon?

Or, is the a place that repairs them?

Thanks!

But really, I'd like to just fix the one I have... any way of knowing what blows up on the motherboard so that we can just repair the one we have?
