Mutoh RJ 900x main board help

Hello

I started getting error E067 err X encoder. Error appeared immediately on start up. Could not bypass it either in diagnostic or maintenance mode either. I replaced the PF motor and the sensor, cleaned the PF disc and still error persists.
I had a spare main board around so I installed it and it fixed the issue. My printer works fine, all seems well but after machine sits overnight and I attend to the machine the next day the display says "language English". After selecting language it says "CKMY discharged". Then it goes through ink refill steps and so on. I can shut down, unplug, reboot and it repeats. Having this machine for 10+ years I have never seen this. But Im stuck changing the waste tank and adding ink multiple times a week. If anybody has any insight please.

Question 1. Is my original board toast? Can it be repaired?
Question 2 . Is my second board also scrap or a setting I can change? Maybe firm wear issue or something?

You probably just need to change the main board battery. It's the little watch type battery on the board. If it's dead, it doesn't keep the system parameters saved which basically resets it back to it's initial state when you power off.

The other board is toast unless you can find someone to fix the board level components that control the the PF sensor.

Well that makes sense. Yes, the little battery. It is very old and spent bit of time in cold climate/garage. Appreciate the response!!
