I am dealing with a perplexing issue which I am unable to resolve. Our RJ900c was having issues with a clogged head and ultimately the old head gave us an E077 H Heat error code. I ordered a new print head, installed it, and loaded in fresh inks. When I went to do a nozzle check there was not ink discharged on to the paper. The maintenance station is functioning properly as ink is being pulled through the lines and flowing through the head and in to the waste container; both on ink charging and cleanings. I ordered new print head cables with slim chance that was the issue, no luck. The next step was to replace the CR board on top of the carriage, no luck there either.
The printer itself functions perfectly except for the inkjets firing ink on to the paper. I found two fuses on the main board but they both checked out OK. I didn't remove them but that shouldn't alter the outcome of the test.
Am I missing other fuses that directly control the head? Should I take the next step of replacing the main board? If I replace the main board are there special configurations that need to be done or will it just be the typical reprogramming of settings and alignments?
Any feedback is appreciated.
